about us

Richard started developing and manufacturing teardrop caravans while living in South Africa.  He then decided to sell his business, Vagabond Teardrop Caravans, and relocate to New Zealand, bringing his passion for designing caravans with him.  After researching the needs of the New Zealand market, Richard has re-designed both the interior and exterior of the Teardrop camper, while also creating the new two-berth caravan known as the “So Cute”.

Bubble Caravans’ distinct retro design ensures a unique and truly memorable camping experience for everyone who uses them.  These caravans are sure to turn heads! The first Bubble was created with an outdoor galley kitchen, while the new So Cute model has an indoor kitchenette and wet-room.  So whatever your camping and adventure needs, whether you are young, old, single, a couple or a family, Bubble has something for everyone.

we manufacture the caravans ourselves, so we are able to cater to your individual needs. whether you need a basic entry level camper, or a luxury camper jam-packed with all the optional extras

“The latest design from Bubble
Caravans, the So Cute model, might
just be the lightest self-contained
caravan currently available in New Zealand.”

“Bubble Caravans has presented yet another vision… a galley that flips and slides open like a multitool to provide three different cooking options and you get a one-of-a-kind micro-camper ready to transform any roadway pull-off into an all-out glamping site.”
